Letter from the Editor: Vintage Lifestyle

For those of you who have been following THE FIFTH COLLECTION and page five since day one, you will already know that we have a sweet spot for authentic vintage posters. We’ve written a few articles on the topic and, more importantly, we have incorporated our passion for collecting these beautiful items into the decor of our new offices on Club Street (see the full article here). We were also thrilled to see that those articles and some instagram posts captured the imagination of some of our collectors and led to numerous questions from curious collectors on where they could find out more and shop for similar items. We were happy to oblige.

Following the articles on the New York times Best seller book “The Life Changing of Tidying-Up” by Marie Kondo and the one on how I organise my desk, it was only natural for me write one on my tips on detoxing your closet - after all, that's what I do for a living. Take Five: Festive Blooms

These days, brand-name popular floral businesses are facing some tough competition from small indie florists that are rapidly blooming. These florists offer "couture" free-form floral arrangements using some of the most exotic flowers and succulents. One of our favourites is Floral Magic - a 16-year-old company, started by Lucy Siah, and been given a new lease on life by sisters (and Ms Siah's daughters) Josephine and Linnette Lau.
