In a few days time, we will be celebrating Singapore's 52nd birthday.

As you may know from previous years, this issue is an opportunity for us to reflect on the past year and what it means to have grown a year older altogether. This year, we wanted to do something slightly different and, after numerous brainstorming sessions, we thought that images would best convey our feelings towards our beloved little red dot. And so, we decided to come up with a photo collage…

This was before we saw the latest RISIS campaign flashing on social media and fell in love with it. It has all of the elements that we love, and had hoped to convey about our shared home, captured in a beautiful photo. Rather than try to compete, we thought we would share it far and wide. As the saying goes, an image speaks a thousand words.

For us, this photo captures one of Singapore’s great strength: our shared differences.
