Letter From The Editor: Happy New Year!
First post of the New Year! Wow, time really flies.
We are at issue 41 and we have been open for 8 months now. What can I say other than that we had an amazing year! I know the first post of the year is supposed to focus on resolutions or the things you are hoping to achieve in the coming year, but I'll get to that in a minute because I find it hard to start thinking of the year ahead when my head is still full of last year!
So, first, I would like to start this post by thanking you as well as the team of THE FIFTH COLLECTION, the people without whom the year that just passed would have been a pretty dull one. We had an amazing adventure where we all learnt so much in so little time. So thank you for being there and witnessing the growth of THE FIFTH COLLECTION.
OK, so focusing on the year we are about to write together, here are some early highlights:
We are proud to announce that Robe Raiders is now a part of THE FIFTH COLLECTION, a merger that should allow us to bring you even more of what you love. We are also working on a number of other partnerships so you can expect to see more fashion, more rare or hard to get pieces and also some more lifestyle collections. We are only on the second day of January and our minds are buzzing with so many ideas that it is hard to put all of them in writing. But rest assured that we have some great stuff in the works.
We heard lots of your feedback too and we really appreciate the fact that lots of you take the time and interest to send us your thoughts and help us improve.
And now resolutions…. hmmm… I have been reading so much about resolutions from other very respected individuals that I am finding it difficult to choose and articulate what my achievement for the coming year should be.
Being a Type A individual means that if I don’t achieve them, I am really good at beating myself up about it, so why not start the new year with a non-resolution resolution? I mean we all know what we should be doing to better ourselves so why not just follow our intuitions and let the new year be one where we go with the flow and see where it takes us. There you go, I guess I just made a resolution of being more in tuned with myself.
Now, we want to hear about your resolutions what are you hoping to achieve in 2015? And how do you make sure you stick with your resolutions? Email us or leave us a comment below.
Last but not least, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015, make this year amazing and, of course, one where you listen to your body and follow your intuition more!
