Out & About: Hermès Wanderland

If there is one exhibition to visit while you're on holiday in London, it has got to be the Hermes Wanderland exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery.

This eleven room installation, designed by Hubert le Gall, shines a light on the iconic Parisian accessories house. Each room presents installations in various media, alongside objects that have been gathered from the brand’s extensive archive. The exhibition is doing the rounds of Europe’s fashion capitals, so if you can't make it on time, you can always wander along to Paris and Milan, where the exhibition is scheduled to go to next.

Objects on display have been carefully and lovingly gathered from the Hermès archive, the museum collection of Emile Hermès at 24 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris and Hermès’ contemporary collections: a bike, a bag, a pair of boots, a travel writing case, a card deck, a watch from the house’s collection… The spirit of the 'Flâneur' is at the heart of Hermès' creations and its inspiration.
