Style It: 5 Days, 5 Looks

When it comes to planning your daily outfit, we always believe that you don't have to spend the big bucks to look like a million dollars. You see, the best part about shopping pre-loved or vintage goods, you are basically splurging on luxury items at a steal. How great is that?

This week, we put together five looks for five days of the week. Of course, you don't have to follow the flat lays - they are just guides for you to be inspired by. Take it as our contribution to you finding your own style and understanding what works for you.

But, seriously, dressing Monday to Friday just got that much simpler. Trust us.

Take #MondayBlues head on by slipping into this tie-waist blue dress by Diane von Furstenberg. This piece works for the office on its own but make it more work-appropriate by going for structured bags in neutral tones. We'd throw in a pair of multi-coloured heels just for fun. I mean, why so serious, right?

This is one of my favourite looks, mostly because of the mermaid-cut skirt. With the silk camisole, the look is pretty feminine. Yet, there's a slight edge to it, thanks to the eyelet overlay on the skirt. Now, because it's a pretty safe outfit colour-wise, we'd suggest going for this a bit of colour in the footwear department.

If you find yourself hitting a mid-week rut, we say take a half-day leave from the hum-drum of office life and go for a nice lunch. The polka-dot silk dress is a pretty and relaxed piece that works in your favour. It is comfortable and airy for the humid Singapore weather, and cinched at the right places to still accentuate your curves.

We're good with the denim-on-denim trend but 2001 was 15 years ago and not everyone is Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake. So, here's our suggestion: Wear your jeans but switch the denim top with a dark navy blouse. The look still gives off that double denim vibes, without looking too matchy-matchy.

TGIF! It's time to dress slightly more casual than usual. But let's steer clear of looking sloppy by choosing a pair of shorts that have cute scallop trim. We're inclined to go pretty in pink (hey, it's Friday after all! So go for colour) with the espadrilles and sheer floral top. What a great way to welcome the weekend!
