Style it: From runway to TFC
The spring/summer 2016 runway shows were filled with desirable looks that we just can't wait to get our hands on. For most of us, waiting till the first drop of the spring collection to hit stores late next month is far too long. But, the thing is, you don't have to wait for them if you want to stay ahead of the trend.
At THE FIFTH COLLECTION, we believe that fashion is something approachable and attainable. So, with that in mind, we've put together pieces available on our site now that you can get now so as to recreate those fabulous runway looks.
Here are some of the top trends for the coming spring/summer 2016 season, and the pieces we think you need to pull off the look.
STRIDE WITH STRIPES
On the runways of London, Paris and Milan, designers sent out exceptional looks replete with graphic stripes. Our favourites are those from Jonathan Saunders and Dolce & Gabbana (pictured). The look is effortless and easy, albeit slightly like sleepwear and pyjamas.
Other designers with the graphic stripes motif include Roksanda, Missoni and Prada. The latter experimented with chopped, curled and scattered lines. But for SS16, the stripes, as they say, are oh-so-right!

PACK THEM ON YOUR BACK
Back to school looks are back on trend, according to major fashion houses such as Burberry, Versace and Maison Martin Margiela (all pictured). We love the canvas pieces from Burberry, and the special initials embroidered onto the rucksack. Other labels to look out for for inspirations: Alexander Wang and Phillip Lim, each of these designers have luxed up the traditional shape.

GIVING IT THE SLIP
Easy, breezy and beautiful: The slip dress is back again this coming season. A little 90's vibe, a little effortless chic. At Celine, the dress looks more like lingerie, replete with the scallop trimming, while Pucci gave the slip dress a layered treatment.
Of course, we're not expecting you to go out in your sleepwear - sexy and cool, but definitely for everyone! Go for more opaque colours and those that are not see-through. You want to be able to turn heads for the right reason -- not because they think you forgot to slip on something over your slip dress.
