Take Five: Cannes Film Festival 2015
Just like the Met Gala 2015, the annual Cannes Film Festival is the place to see your favourite stars decked out in some of the best looks on the red carpet. The only difference is that they're not wearing costumes.
Drama, drama, drama is the name of the game at this year's Cannes Film Festival, especially since the "no flats, only heels" up roar that's been making headlines the past couple of days.
THE FIFTH COLLECTION lists our favourite looks at this year's event so far.
CATE BLANCHETT IN ARMANI PRIVE
Simple yet incredibly chic, we love the big obi-like belt that's tied in a bow to accentuate her curves. The sequinned embroidery adds visual interest to the ensemble and elevated the look to timeless elegance.
We applaud Blanchett for wearing something subdued, and taking a backseat, as this was at the premiere of the movie Sicario - it was not her movie. Despite that, the actress still manages to look incredibly stunning without stealing the limelight from the main cast.
SONAM KAPOOR IN RALPH & RUSSO
We're loving the electric shade of blue on this Bollywood actress. The extravagant piece delivered on high drama between the powerful colour and the theatrical, period-style silhouette. The drapes on the hips can be a tricky look to pull off for most but Kapoor did it with aplomb. It gave her body the illusion of exaggerated curves without going too OTT. Well Done.
FAN BING BING IN RALPH & RUSSO
Couture house Ralph & Russo is really having its moment on the Cannes Red Carpet. This blush-toned floral frock was a dreamlike confection that made Fan look like she was gliding down the red carpet. We're loving th dramatic sleeves and the gorgeous train. Do you think we can pull this off on our morning commute on the train to work? Heh.
