Looking Good: Sacha Juan

I've always been jealous of people with gorgeous locks. Those fabulous curls, bouncing in the wind as you walk down the streets - it's like a Clairol commercial, even in the hot, humid weather of Singapore. I don't have that because, well, I'm a guy. But I do love my hair and I take pride in styling it. To me, great hair is as important as having great style. It completes your whole look. After all, your hair is your crowning glory.

I was born with straight hair and when I was still living in Singapore, the humidity gave it a bit of volume (just like how curly hair frizzes for some) so i'm able to style it into a pompadour with a touch of pomade and swish of hairspray (ok, a lot of hairspray).

But when I moved to London, I realised that my straight hair has gone completely limp. The humidity level here is low, especially now when the temperature dips below 10 deg C, and so my straight hair looks lifeless and horrid. It's not even wispy. Which is really sad.

That's when I discovered Sachajuan Volume Shampoo.

I'm always skeptical of hair products because they always seemed to work on other people, just not mine. But after reading reviews online and watching YouTube videos from beauty bloggers, I decided to give it a try.

So far, I'm loving it. The shampoo creates structure, especially for fine hair like mine. Its well-balanced formula with Ocean Silk Technology rebuilds the hair fibre and promotes shine, stability and volume. More than that, the formula gives my limp hair a boost by plumping up the hair fibre whilst delivering shine for that truly "gorgeous, glamorous hair".

What I love about this product, apart from what it's doing to my hair, is the packaging. While I appreciate ostentatious designs, I am more drawn to minimalist, almost clinical design.

So who (or what) is Sachajuan?

Sachajuan was founded by Sacha Mitic and Juan Rosenlind in Stockholm 1997. Both of them are highly qualified hairdressers with years of experience in the hairdressing and fashion industry in Sweden and internationally as well. Among the international magazines that they have been working with are such as Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Allure, and etc. Combining Sacha and Juan talent and passion, they bring us the Sachajuan hair care collection to fix all our hair concern.

Where to buy it:
I got mine from Selfridges (you can order it online as they do international deliveries). In Singapore, you can check out The Beauty Candy Apothecary located at Cluny Court. The store stocks a selection of Sachajuan products, so be sure to drop by and check them out.
